About

Dr. Arigo's research program focuses on the use of intensive ambulatory assessment, advanced experimental designs, and digital health tools to identify and test novel intervention targets to promote healthy behavior. She specializes in understanding social psychological influences on physical activity behavior (such as social support and social comparison) and using insights from this work to promote women's health during midlife. When asked why she wanted to join the Roybal Center: I wanted to join this diverse community of leaders in behavioral science who are committed to promoting physical activity in support of healthy aging. I'm honored to complement the Center's breadth and depth of expertise by advancing this work among women in midlife (ages 40-65): physical activity is critical to their current and future health, but they face unique challenges to maintaining regular activity. The Roybal Center offers a range of cutting-edge resources and support from the best in the field, which will enable this work to have maximum possible impact.
