Matt Fuchs, J.D.

Matt Fuchs is a journalist writing for national outlets such as Time Magazine and Scientific American. His work covers health, aging, policy and technology. He is currently focusing on the science and lived experience of being middle-aged as a Knight-Wallace Fellow and the James S. House and Wendy Fisher House Social Science Fellow at the University of Michigan. When asked why he wants to be involved in the Roybal Center: "I'm excited to learn from researchers who study behavior change in midlife and how middle-aged people juggling multiple roles can find time for physical activity. As a journalist and Knight-Wallace Fellow, I am exploring how behaviors in middle-age may have benefits decades later for disease prevention. I look forward to connecting with investigators to learn about their work on midlife exercise, cognition and healthy aging."
